6:20am on the 1st of October, I was awaken by contractions. Having had contraction for the past 2 months this didn't worry me at all. I simply got up to go to the bathroom planning to return to bed and go back to sleep. When I got to the bathroom I felt something run all the way down to my feet. HMMM did my water just break?? Oh well, if it is my water I will know soon. This is what I thought and went back to bed. (Crazy I know)
I eventually fell back asleep but woke up at 7:12am very very uncomfortable. Ouch these were really hurting. I laid on my left side and stared at the clock on our dresser timing them. Each of them took my breath away and in my mind I knew. This was it!! That leak was indeed my water and I'm in labor. Knowing how my active stage labor is I knew depending how much I have dilated labor the actual pushing stage was still probably a good 2 hrs away. I knew I had time to get kids ready, myself and drive up to Seoul in time to deliver. I got up and in my mind I kept repeating ....I will not deliver at Ajou, I have time, this baby will wait. Man the pain was intense! I yelled from the bathroom...This guy, GET UP NOW!!! By the tone of my voice he knew something was up.
I told him my water broke and he had to hurry! He got on the phone, got the sitter and got kids ready. I told him I have been laboring intense since about 6am when water broke and i might be pretty far dilated that I was going to the ER since they can drive faster to Seoul. For him to just follow. He agreed and I went to the ER while he went to get kids ready.
At the ER they got me ready and I was 6cm. I overhead them saying AJOU here AJou there. Call Ajou ....oh no! I told people who I don't even know who they were in the hall. I AM NOT GOING TO AJOU. You are taking me to Seoul or my husband is driving me there!
Soon I had the medical commander chief on the phone with me telling me all the safety stuff and blah blah blah that was all I heard. I refuse to go to ajou and I am not! Then they tried to pull the "full-term" thing on me. Yongsan only take patients after 36 weeks anything before that is either Ajou or Samsung. Both Korean hospitals with NICU. Well I am 35-5 so I am sure they wont refuse me because of a day!
I ended up calling This guy telling him to come to the ER to get me. They were still saying they were taking me to Ajou. It was not until This guy showed up to take me when they realized I was not joking!
After arriving to the proper hospital I have to say I had the best labor experience! My Dr listen to my labor expectations and how I wanted certain things done and how I didn't want others and so forth. The staffs were wonderful. Dayza was in my arms in just 3 easy push.

We are all in love with our new little guy!
