The day has finally come!

The time has finally come. I cant begin to explain just how wonderful it feels to be out of Korea. The past two years had been the longest two years of my life and the worse ones too!

We had a long flight, stressful and hard on us all. But the moment we landed in US soil we could already tell the difference. Starting by the smell in the air! I never thought I would like being in Texas as much as I do now!

Texas is our new home for the next 3 months. "We" as me and the kids will stay here while this guy goes out on a TDY. It will suck but at least we are not in Korea and we have family nearby.

I am so looking forward for us Christmas. Families are traveling to Texas, it will be awesome!!

I have to close this with just one sentence that describes everything right now!

I LOVE AMERICA!!!

Dayza is here!!

Yesterday at 6:18pm Three-Iz finally joined us. After another false labor trip to the ER before yesterday I knew that labor was not far away. I was 3cm and even though the contractions did space out I still dilated half cm in 2hrs. They wanted me to stay at the storks nest which is right next to Seoul hospital. I didn't want to since the kids were still at home and since I knew I would have time to drive up here if i did ended up in Labor.
6:20am on the 1st of October, I was awaken by contractions. Having had contraction for the past 2 months this didn't worry me at all. I simply got up to go to the bathroom planning to return to bed and go back to sleep. When I got to the bathroom I felt something run all the way down to my feet. HMMM did my water just break?? Oh well, if it is my water I will know soon. This is what I thought and went back to bed. (Crazy I know)

I eventually fell back asleep but woke up at 7:12am very very uncomfortable. Ouch these were really hurting. I laid on my left side and stared at the clock on our dresser timing them. Each of them took my breath away and in my mind I knew. This was it!! That leak was indeed my water and I'm in labor. Knowing how my active stage labor is I knew depending how much I have dilated labor the actual pushing stage was still probably a good 2 hrs away. I knew I had time to get kids ready, myself and drive up to Seoul in time to deliver. I got up and in my mind I kept repeating ....I will not deliver at Ajou, I have time, this baby will wait. Man the pain was intense! I yelled from the bathroom...This guy, GET UP NOW!!! By the tone of my voice he knew something was up.

I told him my water broke and he had to hurry! He got on the phone, got the sitter and got kids ready. I told him I have been laboring intense since about 6am when water broke and i might be pretty far dilated that I was going to the ER since they can drive faster to Seoul. For him to just follow. He agreed and I went to the ER while he went to get kids ready.

At the ER they got me ready and I was 6cm. I overhead them saying AJOU here AJou there. Call Ajou ....oh no! I told people who I don't even know who they were in the hall. I AM NOT GOING TO AJOU. You are taking me to Seoul or my husband is driving me there!
Soon I had the medical commander chief on the phone with me telling me all the safety stuff and blah blah blah that was all I heard. I refuse to go to ajou and I am not! Then they tried to pull the "full-term" thing on me. Yongsan only take patients after 36 weeks anything before that is either Ajou or Samsung. Both Korean hospitals with NICU. Well I am 35-5 so I am sure they wont refuse me because of a day!
I ended up calling This guy telling him to come to the ER to get me. They were still saying they were taking me to Ajou. It was not until This guy showed up to take me when they realized I was not joking!
After arriving to the proper hospital I have to say I had the best labor experience! My Dr listen to my labor expectations and how I wanted certain things done and how I didn't want others and so forth. The staffs were wonderful. Dayza was in my arms in just 3 easy push.

We are all in love with our new little guy!

Behind

My apologies people. I am so far behind on updating this blog. Good news is....I have been writing on my journal though. I just need to find time to come here and re-type it all.

Patience with me please as I try to stay on top of family, kids, pregnancy, house and modified bed rest. Oh yeah, You haven't heard about that one yet have you? It sucks!!

Pre-term

I dont know what is with my body but is yet to figure out how to keep a baby in cooking longer. I'm 29 weeks today and let's welcome the early stage of labor. Im not happy at all, luckly I am only 1cm dilated and my contractions are not regular but they do have a pattern which is not cool or fun! I just hope I can stay pregnant for at least 6 more weeks.

Two days ago we had the most interesting, unforgetable and tramatic experience of our life. Okay, maybe Im exagerating a little but not by much. Two days ago I had the worse sharp pain and pressure that came out of nowhere, without warning. It was matter of seconds I started contracting pretty frequently. In my mind I was in labor and there would be no stopping this baby. The pain started getting more intense by the minutes. I tried all they say to try, laydown on your side, drink water, walk it out etc. They all failed and the pain was only getting worse. By now according to me my contractions were 5 minutes apart and so painful I could barely speak. Got on the phone and called This guy. I needed to see a Dr ASAP, there was no waiting! Luckly, D had no school that day so she came to watch the kids while This guy took me to the ER.

Walking was the worse ever, I never felt this kind of pressure/pain before. So strange! At the ER I was closed. Unfortunately, our ER/hospital here has no support for pregnant ladies what so ever. NOTHING! So they drove me to the nearest Korean hospital that had a NICU (Ajou Korean Hospital). The ride there was bumpy and very unconfortable, but the staffs that were on the back with me were kind and helpful. They were timing my contractions and by now they were 3 minutes apart. This guy were to follow the ambulance there but I knew he would be at least 30 minutes behind because of traffic.

When we arrived at Ajou, instead of taking me to L&D I was put at there ER. They wheeled my bed all the way to the end of the ER hall where I noticed at least 40 beds full of sick koreans. This place was the most scarry ER I have ever been and I was in disbeleif they were about to put a pregnant lady "possibly in labor" around at least 40 other sick, contagious people. (If you think this is bad, just wait till you hear the rest).

They placed me along with the others at the very end of the room, which I assume was the only open spot?!!! This ER room was not only the most nasty, scarriest ER I have ever seen but also the biggest. There had to be at least 40-50 beds placed next to eachother with only about an arm's maybe two the most length distance from eachother. With only curtains to seperate them in case anyone wants/needs any sort of privacy. (not suprised, they dont know what privacy is)

I was chocked and stunned, where they really putting me here? What If I am in labor? I dont want to have a primmie in the middle of all these sick people with who knows what!!! The only people who spoke english was me, 2 staffs that came with me from base and one Korean who spoke half english. Luckly, the Osan staff stayed with me as much as they could. The Korean staff came to take my personal informations. She verified my name, then her second question stunned me. Are you married? When did you get married?

Seriously? did I understand her correctly? I had to look at the Osan staff and ask them if she was really asking what I thought she was. Apperently is something they must know? Then after all the questionare they came and replaced my IV fluids. I mean replaced everything not just the bag. Took the needle everything out...OUCH!!Why, I dont know. This is just a few of the weird stuff they do. Replacing it all was not the part that bothered me the most. What I was really mad about was how she did it. With no gloves one and she didnt even spoke english when I was telling her to stop and put gloves on. UGHH!! At the end of IV change a new nurse came in to take some blook for labs. She just walked to the other side (my only free arm) and didnt even said anything just grabbed my arm and went on with her business. I glanced at her fingers and I almost didnt let her finish, she was too quick before i had a chance to say or do anything the needle was already inside my vain. Her finger nails had dried blood. Yes this is what I said....dried blood, not mine, not fresh...old blood!

Osan staffs had to leave, I was left alone at this ER with only Koreans. Just minutes later a lady came with broken English and told me they were taking me upstairs to labor and delivery. Oh, thank you!!!! She left and a male nurse came to wheel me out of there. We were barely out of the ER, just around the corner, he stops in front of this HUGE door. I assummed it was an elevator or something. Nope, he leaves me there on the hall in front of this door for about 5 minutes. (note, I am in pain, contracting and unconfortable during all this). Then when I thought they were done doing weird stuff a nurse walks in to give me an eco-cardiogram. Yep! now I may be having heart attack or palputations or something. Because they need to check my heart!

He male nurse comes back and the huge door opens. He started to wheel me in, dont panic Boa, might be a shortcut to the L&D. I told myself. Nope, another male nurse comes with the magnetic thing to place other my belly. My natural reation was to push him away and say no. They didnt speak english. I tried my heart out to receive an explanation why in the world do I need an X-ray. Im in early labor not dying!!! They didnt know how to answer me and I seriously doubt they even understood a word I said.

One of them left the room and came back with a translator. She spoke broken english but we were able to communicate. There was no way I was going to get out of that room without an x-ray. She translated and told me they needed to make sure I was okay because of my asthma. I told her was, Im breathing fine am I??She assured there would be no harm to the baby and they needed that x-ray. For what? So you guys can get more money from us stupid americans? Hey lets run every single test as possible out of this lady so we can charge them more!

After the x-ray was overa they finally took me to L&D. I could not beleive I was at L&D! Ladies, even the worse of the worse US L&D is better than this one. My bed was placed on the corner of the hall by a fetal and contraction monitor that had to be at least 20 years old. I was about 10 feet away from the L&D front desk. The nursed closed the curtains around the bed and left. (I am still laying at the ER bed. This is no comfortable bed, no pillow, no nothing. Just a cover sheet). At least my wonderful husband was already there awaiting for me. He said hes been there for almost 20 minutes and wondered where was I. I had to yet tell him all that happened! He wont beleive me, I thought!

This guy and I started investigating our surroundings to find out if this is a normal proceedure for them or they were doing this to me becasue we were Americans. Sadly, all seems to be pretty normal for them. Next to me, about 5 feet away was a room. Where there were 4 beds and the beds were also divided by curtains only and a chair next to the bed. There were ladies there in labor too. This is the room while you are in labor, I had to wonder do you deliver it there too or do they take you else where? Just didnt look like that was the case.

After a few minutes a midwife comes in who spoke decent English. She explained she was my midwife and she was going to check me for pregression. (with gloves on, yay) She explained that my contractions looks 3 minutes apart and seems fairly regular. I was now 1cm! Sucks, but not as bad as I thought I was. I now knew I was not in active labor! I know my body and I know with that much pain, I would progress so quickly I would have had the baby at the ER.

She explained they will keep watching me and come back in 1 hr to check up again. I closed my eyes for an instance, I said a small prayer to heavenly father to please make my contractions stop. About 40 minutes later I noticed my contractions spaced out. Midwife came back and rechecked me. I was still 1cm. She then proceeded she wanted me to stay the night so they can continue to monitore me and do an ultrasound in the AM to check for funniling and possibly consider stitching the cervix. This guy interropeted her and asked: "When you sayu keep her here, do you mean here in this bed at this location?" She gave this guy a look like if he was asking the most stupid question on earth, then replied: "YES".

We looked at eachother in disbelief with a grin on our faces. Then he asked, and where would I stay? She told him they have waiting room with chairs and TV the other side of the room. That was when I just jumped into their conversations and simply said: NO!!!

I told her, If she beleives I was stable and nothing was going to happen tonight that I would go home and come back if needed. I also told her if nothing happens and I dont need to come back I would still follow up tomorrow morning with my Base Dr. I told her I would not be able to get any rest here, on this bed, in the hall with a light on my face all night. I needed to rest and have a good night of sleep. I was already to unconfortable and I didnt want it to stay this way all night. She was not very pleased and told me thats not a good idea. I told her its not an option! Then she said she was going to speak to the head Dr and come back to let us know what she said.

During this entire time, my new IV replaced by the Koreans was leaking off of the opening in my hand and it started to get annoying. This guy went got a nurse to try to fix it. She was so mean and reckless, it hurt so bad!She took the tape off of it and was holding it needle with partial tape like if it was stuck on a wall or a dummy, not a human. She did nothing to stop the leak, all she did was replace the tape. Once the new tape was back in I could tell it was still leaking, seconds later there were IV fluids in a pocket between my skin and the tape. I showed to her, she argued bad saying it was not leaking that it was just air. I had to prove it by moving my arm and showing that air doesnt move haha. I also told her it was not only leaking but it was really hurting. I must have made her mad, because this time she literally waxed me by taking the tape off. She was being so agressive the needle was piercing me and hurting so bad. I had my eyes closed and squeezing This guy's hand. Suddently I felt his strong pressure and a big yank on my hand. I looked and the YV cord was on the floor my hand had blood and the needle was half way out and her left hand was squeezing my wrist so hard to stop and block any bleeding. She then pushed the needle back inside my vain and called another nurse for assist. The nurse brought her a new IV cord and needle connection thing. Then she connected it all together and retaped it. ( All this without gloves on by the way)

I looked at this guy and told him. Thats it, we are going home!! Luckly, the midwife came back just minutes later to deliver the message. The head Dr told her to monitor me for another 2-3 hrs and if no change I could be discharged if I wanted. I said, okay fine! 2 hrs no more than 2 hrs I am out of here with or without your permission. She agreed and said she would be back to recheck in 2 hrs.

Congrations were still coming, luckly they were now 10 minutes apart. I knew that even if I had no more progression with 10 minutes contrations they would not let me go home. So we cheated...by replacing the contraction monitor slightly higher not really tracking much by now! I did this because I knew they were the same kind of contractions I had with Kachow and Chubbs for 3 months before they turned into the real deal. I knew this, but they were not going to listen to me. And if i was wrong and they were the real deal we would know in 2 hrs if i had progressed any.

2hrs on the dot....she comes in to recheck me! Amazing, at least i give them that! On time!!! WOOHOO I did not progress anything at all! Home we go i thought! WRONG! When she said no change I started to sit up and told hubby to get my clothes. She said no, and told me they had to take me back to the ER and they have to discharge me. I thought she was joking. But not, seriously! They did wheeled my entire bed with IV everything back downstairs to the ER with all the diseased people! UNBELIEVEBLE!!!

About 1hr later we were finally on our way home. I was still quiet unconfortable and still contracting about 10 minutes apart. My wonderful husband drove very carefully, making sure he would try to avoid as many bumps as possible. Korean road sucks! I mean everything Korean sucks!

When home, i took a nice warm shower to relax me. Hubby gave me a blessing and just seconds after I felt this huge peace overcome me. Then I knew, Three would not come anytime soon! And we will be okay!!

Next morning we drove to Seoul for my follow up appointment. All is well with three and Dr estimated his arrival the first week of October. Her guess was the 8th! Which will put me right at 36-37weeks. I would love that!!

Daddy Letter-Week 26-27

Dear Daddy;

My nostrils are opening up, so I’ll be able to practice breathing through my nose as well as my mouth. My eyes are developing the ability to focus, although I'll only be able to see objects 6 to 8 inches away at birth. My lungs are maturing and I have an 80 percent chance of survival if I were born this week. Lengthwise, my growth has slowed down now, but I’m still gaining lots of fat. My movements are likely to be strong enough to be seen from the outside, and you may be able to make out the rough shape of a protruding foot, elbow or bottom. Isn’t cool??

Daddy, did you know that I will be born with more than 70 reflexes that develop in the womb. One of the strongest is sucking. Some babies are even born with sucking blisters on their thumbs or fingers, because the urge to latch on is so strong. Well daddy, not much to report since all I’m doing now is gaining some wait and finishing up the final touches so I can come out to meet you and mommy.

Love you
Three

Everland trip. "Korean Disneyland"

After much thought of our routine, boring life here in Korea. This guy and I realized that finally we are close to leave Korea. And yet we have not done much here with the exception of the time when our mamma came to visit. We just absolutely dislike driving/traveling here in Korea. Its such a hassel!! So we never forced ourself to get out and try to have some sort of fun.

Needless to say we finally broke down and decided to book a trip to Everland, which is almost like Disneyland, but not really!! We actually had a great time, we did not drive. We took a tour trip, a nice bus ride which both the kids enjoyed. The day was extremely warm and nice in a way. Kachow enjoyed the few riders he could go and Chubbs and I just simply hanged out since we both could not go on any rides.

I dont have much details that are interesting enough to write, but it was nice to finally open our minds and try to have some fun with the kids. Even after me being misearble with the heat we still had a blast. Makes us want to go to the "REAL" Disneyland. Cant wait till this day!

Our ride to Everland. We are all suprisenly excited. But Chubbs didnt want to take a picture =/
Chubbs posing for a picture =)
Kachow and Daddy at one of the fun rides Kachow was able to go.
Lunch time!
Splash time. It was so hot that we all enjoyed this area.
Bird feeding area. This was so neat!
Video of the kids playing at the kids play area. One of the very few things Chubbs could do.

Daddy Letter--Week 23-24

Dear Daddy,

An important milestone happens this week: I am now viable. In other words, I have a very good chance of survival, with medical help, if I was born right now. Nevertheless, with every day that passes, my lungs mature a little more and my chances of survival get better.

Daddy, turn on the radio and sway to the music. With my sense of movement well developed now, I can feel you and mommy dance. And now that I am more than 12 inches long (about a foot long) and weighs over a pound (the size of an ear of corn) you may be able to see me squirm underneath mommy’s clothes. I gained nearly ¼ pound since last week. Blood vessels in my lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that my increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing me for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as Abby’s voice probably won't faze me when I hear it outside the womb.

Go shopping! Now that I have a good chance of surviving in the big wide world, it's time to put your superstitions aside and prepare for her arrival. By late pregnancy, mommy will feel too huge for hardcore shopping, so get started now.

Wow Daddy, did you know that my eyelids will open properly around now, and I'll begin to experience rapid eye movement (REM) sleep, the state associated with dreaming. I can dream!

Love ya,
Three

23 weeks

Time had gone by so quickly. I still can not believe I am on my 23rd week. Luckily this time around this pregnancy has been relative easy compared to Kachow and Chubs. Just recently I started some mild contractions. Irregular so I am not concerned yet. I have also tested negative for Gestational Diabetes, in which I had with both of the kiddos. WOOHOO!!

Maybe this one will make it to his due date!

Three is extremely different from his brother and his sister. He is very mellow and his kicks are hardly kicks. He is still an active baby just like his simblings, but he is gentle and nice to mommy so far. I remember like if it was yesterday feeling so much pain on my right rib thinking Kachow broke one. I had a nice bruise too on that side from his kicks. Thank you Three, for being so kind to mommy!

Cant wait to meet my little guy!

Going home =(

Sadly, Brasil is out. We are going home empty handed. This breaks my heart. I have never seen Brasil play the way they were playing. Dunga screw them up badly. Luckly, in 2014 Dunga will not be our coach.

Starting some plans and money saving for 2014. We must head home for that one!! Rio here we come! See you in 2014!!

Daddy letter-- Week 21-22

Dear Daddy
I have grown quiet a bit since we talked. It has been only two weeks but I am already around 11 inches long. Nearly a pound in weight (if not more already). I finally look like a miniature newborn! My lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct, and he's even developing tiny tooth buds beneath his gums. My eyes have formed, but his irises (the colored part of the eye) still lack pigment. I know mommy is dying to find out if I will have her eyes color or yours. Just a few more months before you both find out!
Daddy, If you could see inside your womb, you'd be able to spot the fine hair (lanugo) that covers my body and the deep wrinkles on my skin, which I'll sport until I add a padding of fat to fill them in. My brain is developing fast, and my brainwave patterns are now similar to a newborns. I’m developing the very beginnings of conscious thought. Scientists believe that at this stage, unborn babies already have a primitive memory, and some even think that they can dream. Certainly, I can already distinguish between your voice and mommy‘s.
The second trimester is often described as the honeymoon period, because mommy should be feeling fit and well. In fact, some women feel so good that their sex drive goes through the roof. Other women, however, don't want any hanky panky at all. Both are completely normal! Not too much longer till her hormones are back to normal. Hopefully!

Well daddy, this is it for this week.
Love you
Three

Brasil 2x1 North Korea

Needless to say, I am extremely happy Brasil beat North Korea. At the same time disappointed by how they did. I guess we all underestimated North Korea. They had a very strong defense, that's for sure!

We are still #1!!!! Looking forward for another victory.

Daddy Letter--Week 19-20

Howdy Dad;
I have a few exciting things to share, the coolest one is that I can hear you daddy! Studies has shown that I will learn to distinguish familiar voices from other people’s long before I am born, so talk away daddy but make sure to watch your language. Great news is that I am complete now; my main job from now on is to pile up the pounds. Believe it or not I am already half way the length I will be at birth. The next eight weeks daddy will be my most active time. This is because I will still have room to move freely. My sensory is at its peak. I am mastering complicated movements, turning, and twisting, stretching, grasping and even somersaults. If you press firmly on mommy’s tummy I will not only sense it but I will move away too. Specially now, I have enough room to explore and move away. I have tiny buds now and did you know that some babies are even born with teeth? Wonder if I will be one of them?
Well daddy, I love you very much already and I can’t wait to see you in a few months.

Pneumonia week

Some of you may be wondering if I had another episode where I disappear and don't update the blog for a while. If this is your case, I have good news. No! I have not had one of those episodes, YET. The past two weeks I have been very sick, probably the most sick I have ever been. I was diagnosed with pneumonia after a week of being sick with no improvements. Luckily, the Dr gave me some good med and soon after my antibiotic doses were done I felt so much better. Don't worry, I am alright now and Three has had no effect from it.
We had an ultrasound this passed Friday and he looked great and healthy. He is already 11 ounces, this gave This Guy and I a feeling Three will be a chubby baby like Chubs. Lets just hope I wont have to push a 10lb baby.
Here are the two best ultrasound picture we got this passed Friday. Three is quiet of a show off, he was stretching and doing poses. Being silly, which already shows a little of This Guy's personally on him. The first photo he got his hand under his chin and his feet is resting against the placenta. I say he was posing here. The second photo he is stretching.

Daddy letter week 17 & 18

The past two weeks I have done a lot of growing in length and earning some fat. My skeleton is no longer cartilage, I now have bones daddy. This week I weight about 5 ounces about as much as a turnip and about 5-6 inches from head to toe about the size of a bell pepper. My sweat glands are developing this week. Will I sweat in the womb? Interesting, huh!
Wow, did you know that this week I will master the art of sticking my tongue out. You might catch me in action during an ultrasound. These past two weeks not much has changed with me, since I am pretty much all developed, I just need to grow and mature my organs. But daddy, mommy sure has changed this past week. Did you notice her more hungry? An increase in appetite is pretty common about now. Make it count by choosing meals and snacks that are rich in nutrients instead of empty calories (chips, French fries, candy, and other sweets).
Bigger, more comfortable clothes are a must now as her appetite and waistline grow. Also be ready to catch mommy at all times, her cardiovascular system is undergoing dramatic changes, and during this trimester her blood pressure will probably be lower than usual. Don't let her spring up too fast from a lying or sitting position or she might feel a little dizzy sometimes may even fall.
See you next week
Love

This one is for Grampa Larry

This past friday we went off base to a little stinky town right outside the gate called, songtan. There isnt much to do around here without driving a while and even then most of the time we ended up getting frustrated than having some fun. Long story short...To get off and on base (walking) you must pass through this gate where you show your ID and they scan it. This is also the building you have to go to when getting a visitor pass. On the counter they have two small flags as decoration. American flag and Korean flag.

On the way back home Kat-chow noticed the flags and yelled: " Daddy look, Pepsi Flag." We were all laughing so hard we could not even correct him right away. Even the gate guards were laughing, the only person who didnt ofcourse was this Korean lady who were at the counter. In fact she sounded angry and shouted back at kat-chow: " its not a pepsi flag". It did not matter, we were all laughing in the room. I think her statement only made us laugh even harder.

What an observation, we never noticed before how close the Korean flag and pepsi symble were. I thought Grampa Larry would have a kick out of this one. Your little grandchild loves Pepsi!

Another adventure

Last week we had to go to Seoul for my Drs Appointment. All started out great, both kids woke up in a good mood. We got ready, had breakfast and off to Seoul we go. For those who don’t know, Seoul is really not that far away when looking at miles. But because of traffic, it can take someone 40mins or 2 hours to arrive. This guy absolutely hates driving to Seoul and usually ends up in a bad mood because of “smart Koreans”. By the way we love them!

Anyway, not even 20 minutes into our drive there Kat- chow shouted, MOM! I turned around only to find him covered in vomit, with the saddest face I have even seen. This guy pulls over, or tried to find a spot to pull over where I wouldn’t be hit by one of the "great" drivers you will find in Korea. The entire time this guy kept yelling at the koreans driving by, freaking idiots, gah you dumb A**, it sure was fun. After much trouble trying to clean Kat-chow and avoiding being ran over, I finally cleaned as much as I could and we got back on the road. I cannot explain how strong the smell was. Even with the windows open, the heat was not helping at all. Five minutes after we were heading back toward our destination, Chubb starts to gag. And once again Kat-chow vomits and this time I had nothing to clean but a few wipes left and a blanket. We ended up having to take all his clothes off and use another blanket to cover him up. Once again we take off and hope to make it to our destination before another episode happens. Two minutes later its Chubb’s turn, I could do nothing but laugh. Luckily we were not very far from our destination, Chubb had to sit there and wait till we get to a store, where we could get some cleaning supplies and new clothing for both.

I wish all of this would have happened on the way home, mainly because we had 1 hr till my appointment and we still had to drive back home. The heat made the car have the most amazing smell, thank goodness for febreeze. By the end of the day I learned a valuable lesson. Always have extra pair of clothing for each of the kids and make sure I have plenty of wipes and napkins in the car.

What an adventure we had. Life never gets boring when you are a parent!

Daddy letter week 15-16

Hi daddy
I have very exciting news for you today, but you will have to wait till the end of the letter to find out. The bones in my ear that are responsible for hearing are developing, and my taste buds are sprouting, too. From now on, I get a flavor of whatever mommy eat via the amniotic fluid. One study shows that unborn babies swallow more amniotic fluid if it tastes sweet, and less if it's bitter. Pass the cookies! Scans at this stage have shown babies playing with the umbilical cord, snuggling up to the wall of the uterus, apparently for comfort. I have been getting regular bouts of hiccups too, which help my lungs prepare for breathing but it gets annoying after a while. Now the big news daddy, my sex organs are maturing but with a high tech ultrasound machine you can already find out if I am a boy or a girl. Mommy wanted to surprise you, so starting today you better start thinking about boy names, and its better be a good one too. Can’t wait to meet you daddy, play cars and watch football with you.
Love you more than you can imagine already. See you next week!

Daddy Letter Week 13 & 14

I have some exciting news, I went through some big changes during week 13 & 14. These past two weeks I started to get ready for life in the big wide world, practicing swallowing and sucking, the skills I will need to eat. My vocal cords are developing and she's busy gaining weight. She's now five times heavier than I was at 10 weeks. And although you won't feel my movements for a few more weeks, I can feel you and mommy daddy. If you rub your bump I can sense and respond to your touch with a jerky, reflexive movement. My eyes are now in their proper position at the front of my face. My eyelids are still tightly fused, but I am already sensitive to light. For the first time my body is finally growing faster than my head, so I’m beginning to look more in proportion. You know what else is really cool daddy? I now have fingernails, toenails and hair (yes, even eyebrows). Isn’t that cool! My movements are becoming ever more sophisticated. I am practicing breathing, inhaling the amniotic fluid. I can also frown, squint and grimace, twist and turn my joints and I am even able to suck my thumb, feet and, bizarrely, knees!
Have mom started to glow yet? The second trimester is when many women start that famous pregnant glow. Also mommy’s uterus has popped out above your pelvis, so from now on your doctor will check your baby's growth by feeling your bump and measuring the distance from the top of your uterus to the top of your pubic bone. Which means people may be questioning if mommy is pregnant or not. Now that her bump is beginning to sprout, it's time for a shopping spree.
This is it for this week daddy. See you soon.
Love you

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

First I would love to wish all mothers and Happy Mother's day. I hope you all got spoiled and enjoyed your special day.

As for me, I had a magical day. My wonderful husband let me sleep in till almost 9am, then woke me up with a wonderful breakfast in bed with my two loving children. They all three just sat in bed next to me while i enjoyed my breakfast. The entire time Kachow kept singing "happy mothers day to you". I felt totally loved and appreciated. I also received some beautiful flowers, hand picked by my son. And best of all, This guy got me the most amazing gift and totally unexpected. A matching Coach purse and wallet. I KNOW!!! He is awesome!

I wish it was mother's day everyday!

Military Spouse Appreciation Day

I can say I had a good day. I woke up feeling miserable from my cold. Luckily, "This guy" came home early and made me feel very special. He treated me to my favorite soup, Baked potato soup. Yummy!!

Today is military spouse appreciation day on base. They did not do anything big nor fancy. But I have to say that just the thought and the effort to make something and give us appreciation for our sacrifices meant a lot of me. I received a beautiful yellow rose and a Korean mini vase. Two little things to just say; "thank you". Meant more than they imagine.

They also shared my favorite poem.

The Silent Ranks
I wear no uniforms, no blues or greens.
But, I am in the military, in the ranks rarely seen.
I have no rank upon my shoulders. Salutes I do not give.
But in the military world is where I live and am rarely seen.
I am not in the chain of command, orders I do not give or get.
But my husband is the one who does, this I can not forget.
I am not the one who fires a weapon, Who puts his life on the line.
But my job is just as tough, I'm the one who is always left behind.
My husband is a patriot, a brave and pride filled man.
And the call to serve his country not all can understand.
Behind the lines, I see things needed to keep this country free.
My husband makes the sacrifice, but so do my kids and me.
I love the man I married. The military is his life.
So I pledge to support my hero and stand among the silent ranks
known as
THE MILITARY WIFE.

Daddy Letter- Week 12

Dear Daddy
I am sorry I missed week 11 daddy, it’s been a busy week. There is some exciting news for this week. The most dramatic development this week is my reflexes. My fingers will soon begin to open and close, my toes will curl, my eye muscles will clench, and my mouth will make sucking movements. In fact, if you prod mom’s abdomen, I will squirm in response, although you won't be able to feel me yet. Daddy, I am just over 2 inches long from head to toe. Close to the size of a lime. I weight just barely an ounce. I am essentially fully formed now. Everything has appeared, right down to the tiny vocal cords! All that remains to be done now is to grow and develop. How fun!

Mommy’s morning sickness or should we say: All day sickness?!! Should be getting better. I am getting so big and it makes it easier on mommy’s body to keep up with me. Mommy’s uterus is no longer being able to hide behind the pelvic cavity. You should be able to feel it and remember I will be feeling your touch. I think this is it, see you soon.

Love you dearly;

Delayed

So much has happened the past few days I lost track exactly what I should be doing. Most of you probably dont know this but I have been taking Online Courses, hoping to get one step closer to my BA in Child & Family Development. It has been a true challenge, managing time to do my course and understand itself has been harder than I imagine. I have to say, I am proud of myself. Been doing really well so far.

Kiddos are doing great for those who have been asking. The only issue is Kachow going through horrifing 3's. We never really had the so called "terrible Two's" with him. I guess the 3's is the new 2's at least in our home.

Chubbs is suprising This guy and I each day with her speech. She is talking away like no other. Her new favorite sentence is " Oh, Snap!" It cracks us up every single time she says it. (Yes, Daddy has to take credit for this one)

Pregnancy is going well as far as baby health. Myself on the other hand, sick , sick , sick!! Although, the past 2 days I have not been as misearble with the morning sickness. Praying that is a good sign and this whole sickness deal is going away. I got this to share with you all...the most sweet sound ever! Three's heart beat through a home doppler.

Daddy Letter- Week 10

Dear Daddy

Did you miss me? I sure missed writing you letters. It’s been a long week! Daddy I am now the size of a kumquat. Just a little over an inch long from head to toe. And what is crazy about that is, by next week I will have more than doubled my size. I should be nearly 3 inches long in just a week. Wow, isn’t that crazy. Looks like I have a busy week ahead of me. I have also completed the most critical portion of my development. This is the beginning of the so-called fetal period, a time when the tissues and organs in my body rapidly grow and mature.

I am now swallowing fluid and kicking up a storm, soon mommy should be able to feel me. My Vital organs including my kidneys, intestines, brain, and liver (now making red blood cells ) — are in place and starting to function, though they'll continue to develop throughout the next few months till it’s time for me to finally see you.
Daddy, you know what is really cool? If you could take a peek on mommy’s womb, you'd spot minute details, like tiny nails forming on fingers and toes (no more webbing yay) and peach-fuzz hair beginning to grow on tender skin. It’s so exciting to finally look human. Not only look like one but be able to move like one too. I can now flex my hands, bends my knees, all the fun stuff. My genitals will be complete by the end of this week, although at this stage they're so tiny they won't be picked up on an ultrasound. Give a few more weeks.

I am not the only one going through quick changes, mommy is too. Before mommy got pregnant, her uterus was the size of a small pear. By this week, it's as big as a grapefruit. She may or may not be ready for maternity wear now. Even if she’s not there yet, her regular clothes are probably feeling uncomfortably tight. Get ready to spend some money daddy.

I think this is all the big news for this week daddy. See you next week with a lot of cool stuff to share.

Love you dearly;

Just precious

Now this is a funny video to watch. Me a proud mommy was trying to make a video of my 17 month old girl to show her off. Chubbs is something else. She is very careful with all that she does, eats well on her own, drink from a cup or water bottle without messes. Super polite, covers her mouth when coughs, says sorry, please, thank you and so forth. But then her funny daddy had to add his own little thing on the video.

I have to admit, even though was not what I was going for. Sure made the video one of those to cherish forever.

Enjoy

New Facial

"Chubbs" our totally girly girl daughter, decided to come up with a new facial. Lime popsicle facial. Apperently is really good.

What is new with us?
"This guy" has been working more than usual, making it that much harder to be here in Korea. For those who haven't heard yet, we have been trying really hard to enjoy our stay here. Its been over a year and we are still working on it.

I really believe if Koreans took care of their country, were less nosy, less inconsiderate, made their cities/country more kid friendly and didn't eat kimchi it probably wouldn't be so bad. I can honestly say the hardest part for me, is how difficult it is to just go out and do something with the kids. The base is totally not family ready. Have very little we can do with little ones. They used to have a playgroup was only running for a short period of time. It is depressing and boring. Specially since I used to be the "on the go" mom. Always somewhere doing something and only home for nap times and to do some house chores.

Now being pregnant, with two toddlers and in this "wonderful" place. Has made me so much stronger in some areas of my life and personality and for sure has made me weak in a few areas. I cant recall one time that I have been so negative and depressed about the place I'm currently at. I hate to admit but i absolutely hate Korea and I will not miss one single thing about this place.

Being here has made me love and miss things that I never thought I would. Like Walmart!! Man I cant wait to go to walmart! Hahah

On a happy note, yesterday I went to a Korean Dr to check the baby progress since the base wont see me till 18 weeks. Stupid, but my experience with that Korean Dr was better than I thought it would be. Maybe because I went in thinking it would be the worse experience ever. To my surprise the Dr actually spoke English and was extremely cheap. Baby is doing great, measuring on target with Due date Oct 29, 2010. Baby's heart rate was 165BPM. "Three" Looked great!

I'm praying so hard this morning sickness eases up soon. Spring is here and is finally starting to warm up a bit. We will soon be able to do a few extra things that we cant now. "Kachow" is really looking forward for some pool time.

With this pregnancy I decided to try something new to help "This Guy" bond a little more with "Three". A friend of mine tried something similar, I thought it was a neat idea. I have been weekly writing "Daddy Letters" for "This Guy". I think he has been enjoying them. This week was the coolest so far. Our baby has fingerprints =)

Kiddos are getting in trouble. Better run!

Back ( I think)

Here it goes. Another attempt to blog. I honestly don't know how people can keep up with blogs when there are so much stuff to keep up with.

I have several friends who update their blogs every day, some even multiple times a day. I can say sometimes I wish I could do that.

There are too many funny things that happens daily with our kids and here in Korea that I wish I could blog it all. That been said, I will once again try to keep this up to date.
